What is it about scratch tickets that make them irresistible to tradies?

I’m thinking it’s either the shiny colors or the brief fantasy of escaping the tradie lifestyle.

Pro tip: don’t go into a 7 Eleven at 6 AM.
It is the current year.

Yeah I used to work retail and seniors would just clean up on stratch tickets everday .

I dont see anything wrong with playing the lottery here and there but something about stratch tickets that seem worse than playing just the major lotto where you pick 6 numbers etc

It's this. It's similar to how a fishing lure works

3 a day @ $3.50/each

nah fam, thats a solid 2 years worth. riding high. however, if you decide to put a monster energy wrap around your work truck on top of 3 monsters a day, you're a solid year then.

LOL @ Hilarious thread.

.....It's funny cuz it's true amirite?

For realz, I don't know what it is about tradies and the lotto, but holy chit literally was just in 7-11 this morning and tradie was in there with his full on high visibility vest, hard hat, covered in mud - buying a dozen of those chicken wings sitting under the hot light, 2 monsters (SRS) and $10 worth of $2 scratchers. WWWTTTFFFFF.

And it seems most of ya'll be living in lily white areas, but the biggest degenerates when it comes to scratchers....or even gambling in general....are the damn Vietnamese. They take it to the next level. They'll gamble on if my left nut hangs lower than my right nut, and they'll take odds....then parlay that bet into next Tuesday.

The lotto CAN be a small portion of a comprehensive investment strategy. Ultra high risk, ultra high reward.

Yes because spending 3 bucks a week on lottery is really high risk
