Wearing a mask at the gym

As of next monday, everyone in Denmark has to wear a mask in public places like gym, grocery stores and whatnot.

Anyone tried lifting with a mask on? Did you die?
I have always wanted to become a tampon. My dream is to be inserted into a woman's chamber of love and absorb her lady juices.

Imagine lifting and being out of breath after a few reps.

Cardio and no mask, I can understand. Squats and deadlift too. But not being able to breathe after doing some shoulder presses? Cringe.

From what I can tell it’s thursday next week, and masks are not mandatory in the gym? Where did you get that info. I can’t find it anywhere. God damn! Say it ain’t so!

I've been wearing a mask the past few weeks at the gym to acclimate because USAPL requires competitors to wear masks at meets currently (dumb chit). Sucks.
I'm gonna make it

Thankfully I didnt have the need to since they are not mandatory here however I walked at a very fast pace (almost jogging) for about 300 metres with a kn95 to catch a bus and when I sit I felt my head light.

I didnt have such problem while running on the 5 floors of stairs wearing a surgical one.

I would suggest you to change your schedule and keep your sets shorter to cut the need to oxygenate while working.

actually lifting while having a mask isn't that bad tbh

it's mainly trying to catch your breath after a hard set that I feel is noticeably more difficult, my gym didn't mandate wearing a mask at all times but i decided to try it after a set of heavy squats. Almost instinctually I wanted to take the mask off to breathe in as much oxygen.

Just go work out in the middle of a peaceful protest. They’re immune to the virus.

commercial gym here in USA reqs face coverings. So i wear a neck gaiter. meets the standard for face covering, yet not too hot and still able to breathe just fine. recommend it to all who can use a face covering instead of a mask
the above post is not serious and is for entertainment purposes only.
Thanks for your time.

it's not that bad if you wear a surgical. Cloth masks are hard to breath and work out in.

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

This. I use a neck guard designed for fishing (wind/sun block) breathes fine and meets the requirements, can breathe in it 100% better then a mask.
