If you murican bros aren't careful, you'll end up as cucked as us (Canada). Every generation we lose more and more rights until the eventual full blown disarmament.

Best of luck to you guys.

thats fine but swim has put 223 through a 7ish barrel ar pistol with flash can smacking human silhouettes easily with irons at 100. what more can you ask for for a car pistol and with a drum you will not be under gunned. sighting in at closer range the groups are tight . seems fine ballistics or not you get hit a handful of times youre done

The brace works around the current definition. The whole idea if the OP has any merit is that the definition would change to make braced AR/AK pistols into AOWs and require NFA stamps.

We have the supreme court pretty locked up now don't we? As long as we kill any court packers, you would think we are covered.

Question. If I were to buy a SBR or AR pistol, what are the advantages of going 300 BLK over 7.62x39? Seems like the main advantage of the 300 BLK is that you can use a heavier cartridge. Is that worth it considering the huge ammo price difference?

300 blackout was designed to be used with suppressed firearms. there is a much larger variety of ammo available with alot of heavier projectiles that are subsonic. 7.62x39 has far fewer options in ammunition, most of which are supersonic which can be suppressed but they will be much louder because the round moves faster than the speed of sound.

if you arent going to run a suppressor then 7.62x39 makes more sense imo because ammo is typically cheaper (at least it was before all these left wing nutjobs started burning the country down causing so many people to buy firearms for self defense). but ive heard 7.62x39 ARs can be finicky with reliability.

Thanks. That's basically what I was wondering.

Since I probably wouldn't suppress and already have an Ak47 it would make more sense to go the 7.62x39 route to share the cheap ammo. Not running on an AR platform and having to use AK mags would be a drawback I would have to get over.

nothing wrong with AKs, they are a great platform. imo the AR is a better rifle though.

its also true though, 5.56 performs poorly out of short barrels but 7.62x39 and 300 blackout perform better.

I love them both. Just two rifles with totally different approaches and would take either of them in battle. If I had to choose though it would be the AR just because of accuracy and lighter ammo.

i hear ya man, seems like so many people pick one and hate on the other. they are both great rifles, no collection would be complete without multiples of both.

11.5" on my SBR AR, exceptionally light and handy. I can make hits easily at 100yds which is plenty for my purposes. Still reasonably handy with my (heavy) YHM Phantom suppressor on it. I have longer rifles for longer ranges, the SBR is a practical sweetspot in my opinion.
