The most freeing realization for aesthetics

Is that your body doesn’t care if you get your macros from chicken and rice or from pizza, you’re going to look roughly the same.

I was in the all-or-nothing mentality for years living off oats and chicken breast, avoiding going out and drinking. Tbh I felt like absolute dogchit too because of the quantities of healthy food I had to eat which made me tired all the time but unable to sleep.

I’m almost mad that I’m eating lots of the ‘wrong’ food, counting macros and still making the same progress.

the most freeing realization is that its all about the bones in your face. and your aesthetic destiny was already determined before you ever took your first breath.

You're wrong, but whatever helps you sleep better

I agree it doesn't really matter for 99% of the population

The problem with eating pizza is its so calorific you can't eat much of it without going over your total daily calorie limit

100% my body feels better when I’m fueling with less processed more “clean” foods. My workouts and motivation and energy are higher.

Maybe my body would look the same if I could accurately count “dirtier” calories, but I binge and can’t, but regardless, I ALWAYS feel worse.

Speaking for myself, eating "When" and "How much" matters more than "What."

the only reason to eat clean is the volume.

This. I feel like total dogchit when I eat even a few meals that are less "clean", for lack of a better word. It's not just quantity, either. A single breakfast sandwich from McD's will have me chitting my brains out & feeling like ass.

Then how come the people who look the best and age the best are eating cleaner healthier foods? Micros are important, just like macros.

IIFYM is only good for gaining or losing weight. Ignores everything else about nutrition.
