Stopping using Minoxidil due to dark circles and slight puffiness underneath eyes
Been using Minoxidil Foam for about 2 years, applying only to left and right part of the receding area of my hairline. The rest of my head is perfectly healthy with great hair. Not sure if it has stopped the receding, probably not as it is not its job, but I've managed to regain a little bit of hair which is mostly noticeable if I have a short haircut.
Going off now because I am fairly sure it is causing dark circles as well as puffy skin underneath the eyes a.k.a the 7-11 look. I have only noticed this in the recent months. It looks like I haven't slep for 2 days, each morning I wake up. Never used to be like this as I have fairly good skin, etc.
How am I so sure it is due to Minoxidil?
I sleep 8-9 hours every night, workout a lot, drink a lot of water, eat very healthy, do cardio, etc. I can't magically just have aged 5 years in some months. It's also a popular side effects judging from google.
I am prepared to lose the small hair I have gained. I've already ordered a dermastamp, thinking I might just try using it without any Minoxidil just copings sake. I'm too pussy to touch Fin.
I have also ordered a Retinol 2,5% face cream serum that I will apply on the skin before bed in hopes of returning to normal asap
Anyone else experienced this side?

*******, hop on fin. Minoxidil is useless.
Go low dose, make the portions yourself from 5mg tabs, add zinc and biotin or whatever else you want to take and you get 1 easy pill each day.
I make 0.6mg portions.

You can try zix/needling combo. Or in worst case, get multiple transplants if nothing works.
Oh yeah, topical duta seems to be a good option too, many reporting good results and no sides while they had sides from oral fina.

Honestly bro, if you aren't going to use Fin, I wouldn't bother messing up your skin with the rest of the stuff. Fin is the foundation.
The only thing I will say, if the idea of hair loss really bothers you. I wouldn't want you waiting 5 years to eventually get on fin and lose more hair. Fin slows hair loss, it doesn't necessarily do much for regrowth. Lots of people are reluctant to go on fin, which is understandable, but then they become a norwood 3 or more, panic and then get on fin, and wish they had tried it earlier.
Maybe you could 1mg of fin, 2-3 x per week, that is supposed to be nearly as effective with less sides.
Hard yo say without seeing your hair, a lot of men do have some small hair loss which then stabilizes and they're fine.

Topical oral probably will have the same effect on me tbh. And transplant is no point before I am mid or late 30s I think

I will keep considering Fin, but split the portions up, etc. after coming off Minoxidil and after trying the dermastamp for a while.
Fin scares me because of the libido side effects, I'd rope if something would fuk me up long term down there

Shouldnโt get sides from minoxidil unless it goes systemic via open wounds or something. Tbh dark circles are mosty a genetic predisposition. But I guess stopping will tell one way or the other. Goodnight sweet hairline.

Well, I am always taking zinc and B6, so that's already in check. We'll see with the dermastamp what happens.

Oh and you do know the story about the miscer who started the biggest thread of hairloss on misc and believed all the "studies" right? He ended on propeciahelp.
Here's the link, guy is called Redstar, read the op post and his last posts for him in that thread.https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...8889153&page=1

Another thing I have seen on the forums is to not just stop Minox since you will get bad shedding. Rather move to twice every other day, then every 3 days, and slowly go down to 1 a day, 1 every other day ect over the course of 4-6 weeks. This way seems to let you maintain most of your gains.
Also then switch to grapeseed extract as it seems to produce good result without the sides for at least maintaining what you have.
But yeah I feel you, Minox is a drag to work into your life and sides make it feel not worth it. That said 0 chance I would go on a test blocker at my age while being natty. Seems like suicide.

Hairline will suffer, but not too much since I haven't really gained that much anyway. Just some sprouts of hair along my already attached line

Thing is bro, I only use minoxidil once a day, at night. Not 2 times a day, so it is really minimal appliance.
I feel you on the test blocker aka fin
