Cudnt complete a squat rep, dropped the weight

Fell on the base of my neck before rolling down. Maybe I had it placed too high..

Anyways...now that area is hot af, prolly inflamed, and in slight pain.

Wat do?

Yeah you just had it too high up on your neck. The bar shouldn’t be on your neck lol. It should be either on your traps or on your rear delts. If you squeeze your shoulder blades together and flex your traps, do you have a natural shelf of muscle there where the bar will fit perfectly. Try it out. As far as the redness/pain on your neck, and that will go away I’m sure if it’s superficial from bar placement.

Edit: maybe you meant you were bent over and it rolled up from your traps onto your neck. If so, I don’t have any advice except maybe Advil.

Yeah I don't think I placed the bar that high, I think it maybe rolled up and hit that area when I was stumbling and trying to save myself.

Shud have just let it fall and darted forward.

Ice then heat the area.. Do it several times a day...Take ibuprofen 3 to 4 times a day...Good luck

This is why I use the smith machine. You can laugh, but bad knees and bad lower back from hockey, not trying to risk it.

So you think the solution go your bad knees and lower back is to restrict their movement to a defined path?
