A declining birthrate to native europeans is forcing Euro leaders to import migrants to sustain the labor populations. Economies are driven by their workforce and an aging workforce spends less. Importing young migrants will help offset their lagging economies (is the theory at least).

Yes there are issues with cultural assimilation and whatnot but I think the key reason is capitalism/economics.

I'm not saying I am against capitalism however, please do not misunderstand. I just think a lot of people quickly go to "they took our jerrrrbs and 'killem all before they kill us'!" but at the end of the day, leaders don't have to deal with the day-to-day impacts of migration, unfortunately. If Europeans had a strong birth rate, migrants would not need to be imported, srs.

there is more to it than that. It's not necessarily about taking in less immigrants overall. its about taking less immigrants specifically from chithole countries and greatly limiting the amount of refugees

Know a couple in Germany who just had their second baby. The mothers in Germany get PAID to have babies. She went to college, university which is all paid for by the govt. Soon as she is finished uni, got married and had a baby and now gets something like 700 Euros a month allowance for being a mother so has never had to work a day in her life.
