If you aren't on the same wave length as them in terms of personality, or can benefit them in some form, then they want absolutely nothing to do with you.
You become a low priority to them at that point.
When you start doing your own thing and looking out for yourself, you'll really see who sticks around and supports you.

most people don't want to see people they know succeed, because it makes them feel bad about their own lack of accomplishment, and not taking initiative to succeed themselves (srs). it's the ultimate form of copemaxxing.
cut people like this out of your life.
common actions you will see from them:
-when something good happens to you or you mention something good, they always try and poke holes in it
-their body language / facial expression upon hearing about your accomplishment / good fortune will give them away -- they won't smile until they remember that it's the socially acceptable response
-they will try and get you to participate in pity parties and behavior that is not productive / is actively bad for you / that will not serve a good purpose for you
plz stay safe and plz don't cope

What is worse is after u succeed and they try to squeeze their way back in. Nobody belelieved I had any chance in the modeling industry when I first started because they believed I was too "show offy" and more suitable for theater, but I kept going and now I get old characters from my life contacting me asking to have a cup of a joe and what have you not.

Yessir. When I started my business, literally ZERO support from anyone except a uncle doing the same business.
People I knew personally, chose to support a strangers business instead of mine.
My closest friends, didn't support me, they were salty I did this by myself, and they all grouped up, copied my business, and opened less than 5 minutes away from me.
If they don't think they gonna get anything from you, they DGAF including your closest friends.
