Sportsball

Possibly the worst part of working from home is the amount of small talk you have to make on Zoom meetings before all of the attendees arrive.

Just now it was me and 2 other guys. One of them is based in California and mentions he was hoping to go to the 49ers game tonight but they're still not allowing fans in the stadium. We start making small talk about football while waiting for the rest of the participants to arrive.

The third guy, who was silent the entire time, suddenly chimes in with, "Wait, which sportsball are you two talking about?"

I wanted to fukking reach through my laptop screen and knock him out. I don't give a chit if you follow sports or not, but imagine being an adult male who uses the term "sportsball" unironically.

Yeah I usually have him as a backup in case one of my RBs gets hurt. Been doing that for years. He definitely keeps himself healthy enough to still get playing time.
