Has anyone ever successfully changed someone's mind on the internet?
Or is arguing on a forum an arrogant fools errand?
Having realised this spontaneously in a flash of inspiration immediately after attaining enlightenment I now skip persuasive dialogue in favour of passing the normally accurate assessment that you are in fact a retard

I used to think it was rude to call someone a *******, then I joined misc and realized everyone was a *******. Mind altered.

Over time, yes. I've been exposed to many ideas on misc I never would have considered if I lived my life forumless. I think more effort should be spent on finding a middle ground. Without it, you don't have much in the way of back in forth other than preaching and name calling. It's why R&P seems pretty pointless for the most part. It's really just a political version of sports rivalries.
I'm back, bitches!

I don't think it's an instant change, but I do believe you can plant seeds in someones which will cause change long term.
what worries me is people without internal monolog, and their thought process, do they even relive conversations in their head?
