Lol, no still over dramatic and edgelord. He can't sing for shiit.

The most monotone, bland voice ever. Can't sing, can't hack it at metal, so he carved some space for himself in that shiity band.

Just look at how easily Chris Cornell mogs him. Imagine if Cornell sang this song from the start...it wouldn't be so shiit, with some cringy try-hard screaming for 5 minutes

https://youtu.be/F_v1SLIt01Q?t=183

3-minute mark

The sad part is that Cornell was probably giving it like 10% effort. Likely was woken up from a drunken stupor in the green room like 30 seconds before he had to go on stage. With a cold. And a collapsed lung. Still sounds 10x better than Linkin park try-hard

Inb4 negs

edit - fuk...3:40 and he's just screaming the entire song...drowns out Chris entirely. God, what a piece of shiit singer. I get that he passed away, but that doesn't change the fact that he was pure trash, and only angsty teenagers, and those who are still mentally 12 years old, love this trash

Cornell vs Chester isn’t really a fair comparison though. Cornell voicemogged basically everyone. Easily top five greatest vocalists.

i listened to them since hybrid theory when i was in highschool. So many haters. So much chit talking about how he sings about this but has no problems in his life at all.

well i guess he showed them IN THE END.

funny that it's now "cool" to say you like linkin park these days but back when they were putting out their best stuff (meteora) many people would chit talk u if you said you liked them.
You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told you're a god or a total bastard. The iron always kicks you the real deal. It's the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. I have found it to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But 200 pounds is always 200 pounds.
