Drink more water and eat more quality food. Also if you don’t work out a muscle for awhile it’s normal to have soreness after using it again. Your body will adapt if you keep working out consistently.

this is true. training legs is the most punishing for my body. if i didn't train legs i'd probably have 2x the energy. might just add squat to my chest days or something eventually and just have that as my only leg exercise

^^ This.

Twice a week for legs, use moderate intensity and increase it every week for 4-6 weeks then deload.

been lifting for over 2 decades, the solution is to do the movements again, force blood into the area, and stretch it out.
use light weight but do it again

yea, im gonna be terrible. my biceps will be fine. rest of body... not so much

is it that soreness where you're sore before even finishing the work out? lol. i've had that. you can feel your muscles are kinda torn before even walking out the gym

also. be careful of rhabdo. i'm sure you won't get it, just want you to know it's a thing that exists. and it happens most often to people who work out, take long breaks, and then go too hard after returning

Active recovery.

Basically lightly work legs for the next couple days.

That will help soreness go away faster.

You're still gonna feel it though.

That's what happens when you don't work them for a long time.

Moral of the story: Train your legs.
The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

That's why grandma's apple pie rocks and yours sucks.

Once you train legs and get ridiculously sore, at twice a week, by the third leg session you'll be back to normal with no pains. I HIGHLY recommend working out your inner groin and outer hips by using those leg splitting machines. I was working out legs hardcore for the longest time and had reached the point of no soreness. Then my buddy who is an amateur bodybuilder was like your inner groin is the most neglected part of your body, so I started doing them. Hole lee chit bro, I worked them out once with the same intensity as the rest of my legs, and jesus christ I could not walk for a week. I've been on and off lifting for the better part of 12 years now and every time you get back into it you get hammered by the DOMS. Pretty much need to keep lifting non-stop if you ever want to avoid having it again. Just make sure you're stretching, using heating pads, tiger balm, and doing active recovery. So for legs I'd be doing the bicycle immediately after my workout to offset some of the soreness, and I'd keep doing it just to keep the muscles loose.

Lol, 100%. I'm not always super sore from training legs, but I'm always tired and am in a chitty mood for like 3 days after.
