All for $1300. From rogue and shipping is like $450+.

Why is this chit so expensive and do I have any alternative?

Don't reward the scalpers.

In a year they'll be back to 1/3 that price.

Guessing that's bumper plates. Get some iron plates at your local sports store or even get them off Craigslist/********. Usually new iron is $1.50/lb and I hope people would sell their used for less than $1/lb

There was a miscer that made his own out of concrete. They turned out nice too.
I'd rather go that route.

$1800 by the time they are in your hands is a lot of bread.

Would just do body weight exercises instead. I wouldnโ€™t spend that much for an eleiko bar and plates.

Rogue makes quality plates. So as long as you're not paying above retail for them I don't think it's a bad deal. I have Rogues competition bumper plates and I like them a lot. If you don't want to spend a premium for nice plates then just get fitness gear plates for 1$ a pound.

Literally a rip off. Don't pay more than $1 per pound. Better off just going to the gym, investing in resistance bands, making homemade weights (can be buckets of water), buy a dip belt for weighted dips/pull-ups/chin-ups, weighted vest, chains.

Ghetto kettle bells
Tie them to a steel pipe and you got a barbell.

Start off with water and maxx them out with wet sand .

rogue is overpriced as chit, there stuff is mostly out of stock and they take forever to ship.

plates here are going about 2-2.50 per lb, I'm sure if you buy in bulk you may be able to get a deal somewhere. Plates aren't a huge deal unless you like the aesthetics and care about them being calibrated.
