Strained back bench pressing
Pretty sure I strained my lower back bench pressing last week. Just under belly button height and slightly to the left of the spine. Haven’t been to the gym for a week because of it as I don’t want to aggravate it. Pain kind of comes and goes, almost feels like nerve pain. Woke up in the middle of the night with it once, it’s kind of like a dull pain, I’d rate it a 3. Is this one of these injuries where it’s okay to continue going or do I need to stop for the time being? If I go and it doesn’t get any worse does that mean it’s safe to go?

I would personally wait and let it heal up but if you don't feel like it just be very careful.

OP brace your core tight when your bench pressing, this should prevent you from putting excess strain on your back.
did you use dumbells ?when you kick these up or drop them, if not careful, can cuck chit up too
sorce:
i ve been lifting naturally for over 17 years, i still do all lifts in full rom and walk around most days with 0/10 pain.

Been a week today since I’ve been and the pain has become more noticeable the last two days. Certain movements trigger it. If I’m just in one position it’s fine but moving around or tightening my core if I’m sitting up or something similar seems to trigger it.OP brace your core tight when your bench pressing, this should prevent you from putting excess strain on your back.
