Misc rate my new coat please respond

Cliffs of coat:
- fur-lined (with adorable minks, u mad?)
- non-couture brand
- cost about $200
- thigh-length
- coat of color

I'm trying to dress more sophisticated, and frankly, I understand the anti-fur gripe (never owned one before) but I can wear this coat over a t-shirt and go walk around in the snow for a whole day (yes already snowing here lol) without being chilled. Normally wintertime here feels like getting dressed for a phucking space walk with all the layers.

I'll admit I could have patted down the coat a little bit and arranged the scarf more neatly, but I wanted to capture how it "actually" hangs and all this.

Do I manage to pull it off or is it try-hard and cringe? (yes I realize it immediately makes me look DYEL, am nattycel)

Coat is a good length and color.

I recommend:

1. Zipping all the way up/ closing your coat (can’t see the dollar area) AND wrapping your scarf around rather than stuffing your scarf in there.

2. Keep your face clean and shave daily.

4. Grow your hair out

Not bad, my man.

Cheers

They're imposing a phuck load of meaningless restrictions on novi god like I think that restaurants aren't allowed to have events and whatnot, but I can't imagine anyone is srs following any of the precautions other than the ones they have to.

I was there a month ago, and you can only eat on patios at restaurants and bars and some other ghey chit but only "nice" places are following actual restrictions.

I live in SPb and know personally several people who got it and I've had a cold already this season, so I assume I've gotten it already as well.

Russian babushki man, they are the most flagrant violators lol. They survived veliki otechestveni and the 90s. No way ******* COVID gets her brah srs, if you want me to put on an Obama costume and chase her down the street with a syringe I'll do it if you think it will help.

Solid tips brah, noted thank you.

I srs get carded for alcohol here occasionally when I fully shave (drinking age is 18, I am 31) so I cope by wearing a bit of scruff but you're probably right that it's better to just accept that I look young.

In for hair length wisdom though-- I feel like I start looking too boy bandish when I grow my hair out.

lmfao @ my face srs. Dunno brah, I am not photogenic despite being not bad looking (female miscers seething!).

Honestly, I don't even like soccer but watching games live is fun as phuck. Only downside is that Russians have no chill so it is illegal to sell alcohol on the premises for games and they have the away fans end in a literal cage so there is no hooliganism.

Everything needs to be fitted well, the coat and the pants. And you need a good haircut and pair of shoes.

And at the end you look like a corporatecel trying to jestermaxx for a careerdriven postwall woman.

I'd rather go with tapered jeans, chucks, and a bomber jacket on top of a hoodie.

Looks good OP kind of boxy around the waist. Off the rack places like Hugo boss and club Monaco do a great job with a more fitted look but might have to pay more.

I have a similar coat but got it MTM. Great style

I was afraid of getting something more tapered at the waist because I have a pretty thin waist compared to my shoulders (female miscers seething) so I was afraid of doing too much too fast and looking like a complete *******.

I can barely phucking buy jeans here because they practically only sell "skinny" jeans and I ain't BDL.

Thanks for advice brah, will give the more fitted Boss models a second look (they were among the ones I looked at during this purchase process btw).

No, bought it and wore it right off the rack. I can definitely have it tailored though. I've done the same to suits and always been happy with the results. Is that something they can do in non-speciality spots or do I need to find some phucking coatsmith or something?

Your opinion on style is among the most important brah. If you cosign the coat then all the haters can do is seethe. Thank you.

Need to up my watch game though ASAP because the G Shock is a phucking insult to that coat. Lowers my oligarch rating by a solid 3.5

Really? Is that the standard in all of Russia? Can't imagine sporting events without beer.

I think it's the same way in all of Russia yeah. Definitely in the big cities. There's a lot done to hide alcohol usage here. You can't even advertise it, so all the beer commercials are for NA beer. You have to stop selling at 10pm (but obv no one gaf about that except in grocery stores). Open container is an arrest-able offense (re: you pay a bride).

I mean. Russians aren't dumb people though brah, they figure out how to get booze into the games. During the World Cup (and whenever Euro Cup or Champ's League comes through town) they actually changed the law and you could buy beer and chit past the gate, but during RFL games-- no booze.

Tom, that coat is too small for you. I'd recommend taking it back and getting a little longer sleeves and more room in the chest.

Yeah this is my main problem with the coat right now: chest needs more space, sleeves need to be longer. It was a test buy, I'm going to try tailoring it as VinnyPaz recommended but the next one will be a size up for sure.

I have monkey arms bro. Wingspan is several inches greater than my height (I've heard it should be 1:1).

This is my problem with all formal wear; suits, coats, dress shirts.

Same with legs: small waist (31") long inseam (34").

Holy phuck though exalted watch recommendation homeboyo. Love the green face and thick silver bezel. Not even that expensive (G Shock was about the same price, a bit less).

that's nothing brah, in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s football stadiums were literal cages

I started going to footy matches as a kid in the 90s and I considered fenced of stands like this "normal" since it was like this everywhere

but looking back at it it was disgusting, srsly

luckily more and more stadiums are stepping away from this, in England they saw the light way ahead of Belgium f.e.
you're welcome, srs question tho: why did you decide to go with a coat instead of a good solid puffer jacket ? coats usually make you look way older and you can't really be "stylish" with a coat like that, it is just too neutral

ermenegildo zegna makes good puffer jackets for example but it's a bit expensive cuz designer brand

with puffer jackets, you can also wear a hoodie under it and it looks nice or just a tshirt

a coat like that only makes sense if you wear a suit under it IMHO - especially when the coat has a dark color
Honestly, I just really wanted something for formalish wear. I have a black puffer coat (lol didn't know that's what they were called, but it makes sense) and another goose-down 3/4 with a fake-fur hood already so the was a land-and-expand effort.

Maybe it's not obvious in the picture, but I've got khakis and nice boots on. Was dressed vaguely formally because there's a cute new girl who started working at my gym and I want her to think my father is a wealthy industrialist.

Fit is good but black isn't the best choice, especially during the day. Usually looks like you're either a kid/bouncer/other unaware poor person or going to a funeral.

Also probably gonna look lumpy with that fur lining. Layering is superior.

Elbows too pointy.

Saint Petersburg, I don't love the big city life tbh. Moscow is busy busy busy. I'm from LA, been there done that.

Women here are a mixed bag. On the one hand-- way hotter than in the west by leaps and bounds. Last time I was home I was in shock at how few attractive women were running around. On the other-- way more delusional and psychotic. Bishes here will straight up physically assault you. You're allowed you dominate all of their holes immediately afterwards though so it balances out. Western women try to keep up the semblance of having their own interests (jfl) besides trying to make you wife them.

Women here understand their value is in their beauty and frankly it makes dating way more pleasant.

Had a bish smash a coffee mug on my head though which I always figured would hurt, but it wasn't that bad. Made me feel like a man ded srs. The choke phucking that followed wasn't bad either.
