Irish drug dealer reports missing drugs to police

Thought he had left 40k worth of coke on a train
Wasn’t allowed back on train, reported to police, sounded nervous, didn’t say what was in bag
Then tells police he remembered leaving it in a shop and would get it himself
Police suspicious, meet him outside shop.. busted.

This story has a lot more going on but, As far as I know it’s legal to report theft of drugs to police. Having possession for personal use or even some minor distribution is a less serious offense than a potential violent robbery and the police are more interested in stopping those kinds of people
