Anyone own or familiar with these? Pizza ovens
Thinking of buying one. It’s cheaper than building one and uses charcoal, wood or gas. I would probably place it outside, next to my grill.

Not familiar with these. Are they good for other things aside from pizza?
I just use a cast iron pan as a pizza stone and I put it in my regular oven. Cast iron retains heat and that makes it pretty damn good for baking.
Building pizza oven out of bricks seems more fun than buying.

Yeah, I have a Roccbox. It’s awesome. So far I’ve only made pizzas but I hear it sears a mean steak. The pizzas cook in less than a minute and they’re perfect.

We have been making our own bread, pitas, naan, pizzas etc at home and want to take it up a notch. Not familiar with these. Are they good for other things aside from pizza?

Looking up Roccbox now. The one I posted is at a local Ace here so I could get it today.

Never phucking mind. Damn this is expensive! I'll stick to a cast iron pan in the oven...

i have an uuni 3, same company before they changed their name
if i could do it again i'd get the pro version or one of the newer models that can bake 16" pies, maybe even the gas powered one, koda 16 i think they call it. the pellets are finicky as hell and honestly make me use it less often than i want to, same goes for the small versions. kinda sucks having to make 2-3 pies instead of just 1 big one
the results are seriously incredible though. it's a one use tool which i'm not huge on but in a home setting, its basically impossible to replicate the results with anything else. making your own doughs and tweaking the recipe is really fun too.
it makes purists really mad but i recommend buying a big pack of appropriately sized parchment rounds off amazon and launching the pies with the parchment then plucking it out after a few seconds of letting the bottom of the crust set. nothing worse than losing a pie while launching and having it fold up onto the stone, making a huge mess

My parents have something similar. Thin crust pizza cooked perfectly in like 90ish seconds. They grow their own basil and tomatoes in summer too. Let’s just say they are popular with the neighborhood for parties
. It’s absolutely on my list do get soon.

personally i find floor temps higher than 800 to be unmanageable

Build bread oven (or however's that called). SRS
So much possibilites and many many hnng meals. You regular 'oven meal' just becomes 10x better. You won't regret it, trust me.
