I have a blood button above my belly button wtf. Does anyone else have this?

I have this small lump above my belly button. When I press on it I can feel blood squishing around...I guess it's like a varicose vein or something? Doesn't look like it though. I keep looking at pics on Google and can't find any pics of anything similar. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? It's not that big of a deal but's annoying because it looks so phucking goofy - like a permanent mosquito bite or something.

Maybe a cyst? I'd have it looked at just for peace of mind.

I don't know. It squishes when I press it. Aren't cysts hard? I'm 99% sure it's not dangerous so don't even know if it's worth getting looked at. I'd like to get rid of it but that's probably impossible without surgery.

Not necessarily. I had one on my head that looked a bit like yours only smaller. Was definitely squishy. It wasn't a concern for cancer but I had it removed.

How long has it been there? I actually noticed two similar bumps on my abdomen also, been there for a few months now. Squishy, like yours, so I thought it may have been a blood vein or cyst. I actually wrote it off to getting older. However, upon seeing your case, I now question that. Although, it could go away on it's own, plus it would not be cancer, as a malignant tumor would feel solid. Have you been doing anything different in stomach muscle building lately (more than average)?

Don't have to be. I would have it checked out, simple ultra sound usually.

ameribrah? have insurance? call hospitals and ask them about indigent patient programs or similar programs (like charities) for patients who need treatment but cant afford it. Depending on what your 2019 (or 2020 taxes depending on when you do this) say, you might be able to get it done for free.

you NEED to get it looked at. If it is indeed an abdominal hernia, then letting it go untreated could result in it getting trapped in the abdominal tissue, damaging the intestines or other tissue, causing an intestinal blockage etc.

Nothing at all. That's why I'm so confused by this. I first started noticing it around May of this year but in the past few days I've been going through a lot of old shirtless pictures of myself and see that it started forming as back as 2018. I can't believe I never noticed it until a few months ago. Do you have any pics of your bumps?

I got both an MRI scan of my entrire abdomen and ultrasound and they said they couldn't find anything wrong, except with my liver (which was totally unrelated). So I'm back to square one. I'll have to work on getting the pics and get back on that.

From your descriptions it sounds like a typical hernia. As posted before, get it checked out.

I’ve had the same bump for years and never knew what it was

Sometimes It’s caused my abs to lock up but if I push it with my finger the pain goes away. Weird ****. I don’t think it’s a hernia though

It’ll only hurt if I’ve been sitting with bad posture for a while or I’ve eaten a lot. Been awhile since it’s caused problems
