It’s absolutely over
I’m a quant and listening in on a tax conference. Keynote speaker is billed as a “technologist”. I’m thinking great, we’re going to talk about the rise of solar, wind, etc., replacing oil, and how to tax renewables or replace the eroding extractive industry tax base, etc., or something along those lines.
False. First comment from keynote, “today we’re going to talk about the SJW movement”. Wtf does that have to do with taxes.
Also a great kernel from the first five minutes, “virtually every college student graduating is woke”. Remind me never to hire someone that graduated in the past 3 years and going backwards until we reverse this absurdity. Also once again, wtf does that have to do with taxes?
We spent the next five minutes with him giving his thoughts on how great the #OscarssoWhite movement was...
Literally wish I could physically stand up and leave rudely to display my displeasure.

Either graduate top 10-20% from top 30 US school and get in at undergraduate level, eventually firm pays for MBA.
Or get PhD, maybe a MA/MS in Econ, statistics, or Mathematics.
Typically a CS minor reduces the need to get further education.
Both of my siblings also followed some version of these results and are consultants, bro and me are more on the data analytics side, sis is more on the pure consulting which is more directly client facing.

You think that's bad? Teachers in San Diego have to attend a mandatory "White Privilege" training seminar.
