Can I use potassiumcitrate to supplement potassium loss when fasting longer then 24 hour fasting say 40~ hours.

I understand the sodium need and I do this but are you not supposed to be taking a potassium supplement as well?

Unless you're doing a lot of damage, deficient, or take wayy too much sodium, I wouldn't worry. The body manages potassium well enough that you don't have problems going 24 hrs without more.

I've been potassium deficient before and it takes a while to happen. I see it first with calf cramps and my heart starts not pumping normally.

You really don't need it for a 48 hour fast.

For longer fasts just go buy some electrolyte tablets, easy.

That's a lot of salt, I would not do this.
I have potassium citrate 99mg tablets and have taken 3 am I gonna make it?

Can I take more?

I'm in Cuckada and couldn't find any in grocery stores that were 0cal.

I have been doing IF for most days for almost a decade now typically 20/4. I never have any issues and feel great although with 48-43 hour fasting I started to feel funny, a little light headed.
