GOAT Gov. DeSantis

Live press conference in West Palm Beach at the oldest steakhouse in Florida.

To sum up so far:
Only 1.7% of Covid cases in NYC were contact traced back to restaurants. More people are getting Covid by hosting larger gatherings at home. Florida restaurants will stay open throughout the Holidays.

Wife and I have been going out to restaurants on the weekends regularly now for awhile. It's amazing how much dedication the restaurants down here have shown to make eating out safe. I feel bad for a lot of these small businesses in other states.

I live in a "red" county and it isnt free at all. Still mask laws in place for county, the only thing that changed was no fines allowed for individuals not wearing a mask anymore, the business is who gets a fine if a customer comes in with no mask so these store people are super fukin rude and they got people posted up outside at all the large stores making sure everybody coming in has a mask or they call the cops.

In Florida? While reading this, he just said "we're not going to have fines. we need to treat people with respect and trust that they will do the right thing. everyone I see in Florida wears a mask there's no need for that." He said that right after he made a comment that Florida has some of the lowest Covid cases per capita despite being open for months. California has mandates and they are seeing a spike in cases. So maybe no more fines for businesses.

Yes in FL. My county had to change their ordinance to fine businesses instead of the $300 fine for individuals after the governor made it illegal to fine people for not wearing a mask. So they are fining businesses.

Yeah there's always going to be mask nazis. But wearing a mask is the least of concerns for people in other states right now. I always wear my mask.

Dude my ****gy state of MN shut down gyms also and they contact traced it to .006 percent of covid cases coming from the gym. After getting that evidence...the ****gy governor extended gyms being closed another 30 days.
