Feels like -19C. Wind chill of peace.

Winter has arrived here in QC. Luckily, it'll be warming up by next week for Xmas. Not too much snow lately but we've had some cold days.

It's one thing I hate about this area. The cold during winter. -20 is like normal for three months, and then there's always two weeks in Feb when it's -40. Brutal.

Give me -5 and snow and that's manageable. When you can't even go outside for more than half an hour it sucks.

I could stare at a fire for hours. There's something deeply primal and therapeutic about it. I have a big fire pit in my yard and make bonfires regularly. There's nothing like sitting out in the night and having a few beers by a warm, roaring fire.

it was -14 C with the windchill a few days ago

honestly don't mind the cold that much, it's the snow, ice, freezing rain that makes things miserable, and maybe high gusting winds too. but in many instances it's a combination of all of these.

a nice sunny day with clear skies although cold is perfectly fine with me

Yeah you're right. If it's cold, you can bundle up. It's pretty nice and fresh out when it's clear and cold. It is the occasional blizzards and ice rain that make things really miserable here.
