Seriously they gotta be some of the most in shape people on the planet, and they have the mental fortitude.

The average Crossfitter can most likely climb Mount Everest. I mean, have you ever heard them describe their workouts?

I feel like they can do anything a human can do, because of their preparation.

Yep, they would do what everyone else does. Hire a team of Sherpas to lead the way.

Minimum requirements for special forces is fairly pathetic, your average (lifting) miscer could do it easily. (Just talking physical portion)

Guided? Possibly. But training for high altitude mountaineering and its affects on the body is pretty specific. Being "in shape" will help, but only to an extent. Unguided? No.

No. You cant prepare yourself for no oxygen in the death zone no matter how tough you are.
You could eventually acclimate yourself after doing it many times but no amount of mental toughness is going to make oxygen out of thin air.

People who train years for the trek die doing it, maybe a mountain oriented division of the special forces could possibly do it.

the westerners that go there pay ****** in sandals to carry all their chit for them up the mountain.
go look it up they had some peasant helper die the otherday and all the westerners were just walking over his dead body.
No they cant do it without assistance, its the locals that can do it without assistance they are the true athletes there
