Reaching 'enlightenment' is pointless when living in a society

It's hard to do both. If you've done psychedelics, you've gotten a taste of what it's like. 'Oneness' with the Universe, etc. But now that you have that experience and information, now what? Are you going to meditate to feel that way but then come back to reality and live a normal life where it constantly triggers your ego? The journey is not worth it unless you go all in. Drop everything and travel elsewhere with like-minded individuals such as monks. Ego loss is a terrifying experience, just erasing your entire identity. You want to end up like Connor Murphy?

Maybe I'm not ready yet, but fuk it. Staying away from those mind-altering drugs, because ignorance is bliss. Chances are it backfires and it depersonalizes you.

I remember when i first got into meditation. My boss threatened to fire me because I was too chill. Other employees would complain about me because I wasn’t stressed out like there were.

Is this related to my thread?

But yeah i agree to an extent, its a depressing path to take.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

People are dumb and think you should feel how they feel. It's so easy to spot people who lack self-awareness

Seems to me like he was someone who was completely identified with his mind/ego. He then took a very potent psychedelic which dissolved everything he identified with and he thought brought him happiness. Consequently he had a mental breakdown and now these videos of him “enlightening” his friends is his ego trying to regain control. He’s feeding his own ego by feeling like he is now enlightened and he will show everyone the way. It sure seems like he missed the whole point and is in way over his head. He needs help.

Disagree with your assessment.

The true buddha reaches enlightenment, and returns to the people.

The false buddha becomes a hermit.

I'll tell you right now that it's not worth it to stop where you're at. You need to keep going.

And there is no 'oneness' with the universe. Enlightenment is the balancing act of your consciousness.

Ego is where you view yourself as separate from all that is. You're just a cog in the machine. You are a human flesh robot operating in a world outside of you

Godhead is where you realize that everything outside of you is a manifestation of your innermost being, and all that exists is you. You are the living truth, an infinite being, there is no other people, you are the only thing that exists, will exist, and has ever existed

It's about balancing your ego with the Godhead because one cannot exist without the other.

"Fate whispers to the warrior, "You cannot withstand the storm,"- Ego

and the warrior whispers back, "I am the storm."- Godhead

If you don't get it you don't get it. Maybe you aren't meant to. Don't force it.

Well you're already there, you just haven't realized it due to distractions begging for your attention. It's like trying to find your wallet when you're missing it to realize it's in your pocket the whole time.

And yes, it takes some people immense suffering, but not necessary.

I do think about that. Been meditating for a couple of years and also dabbled in psychedelics. Starting to feel out of place when I realize how much people get stressed over menial things. Like they don't know that life could be so different if they didn't hang on to so much BS. In a way it feels pointless because I'm the only one who will ever get it. After coming back from Xenon I tried explaining what happened to my friends...how we are really nothing but our present thoughts and feelings so no need to stress the past or the future. They just didn't get it, that's why I'm here on a dying gay bodybuilding forum.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

You don't need to meditate **** bro.

I'll give you a shortcut what you should do - although everyone here has a different path and a unique role to play - how you reach "enlightenment" will be in a way unique to you, and it won't come through tripping on psychedelics in a dark room for 5 hours by yourself.

Connor Murphy did figure it out. Many dudes who achieve God status physique and start banging random hoes and realizing that this doesn't make them fulfilled (because you learn the hard way that bitches ain't **** after putting them on a pedestal for so long). I even think Zyzz reached this stage.

The truth is that lifting / bodybuilding is a good start because it builds immense cosmic life force energy within you. Masculine energy IS life force energy. Women actually SUCK this from you because they don't have much of their own. It's just how they were created - a simulacrum - a short-changed pale reflection of the divine.

Next comes your purpose, your calling. And no, banging bitches is not your calling. Go on this path and you will reach where you need to be. You ever have that feeling when the stars align and everything is perfect at that given moment? Enlightenment is having that feeling 24/7.

Do you guys ever deliberately have bad trips?

I have.

Srs. It makes you have a stronger mind if you know how to control it and get through the darkness.

You guys should try it.

Once you've reached enlightenment they make make you chief database designer for you are at one with Codd and your mantra is The Key, The Whole Key, and Nothing But The Key So Help You Codd. At which point you cease using silly design software and instead pull out your trusty Etch A Sketch. As the unenlightened surround you, you design, using Agile of course (snicker snicker), the ultimate database and as they gawk at it's awesomeness you give it a shake and poof the design is gone. Thus the master has spoken

The insight can calm some metaphysical fears. No healthy human takes serious psychedelics. You do not need to.
