Do you think robots and machines will govern countries in the future?

Maybe after 2 decades, only robots and machines will be able to rule, run and govern countries instead of real human politicians in this complex technology, smart phones and machines dominated society.

Maybe Terminator and Matrix kinda machines in human form.

I think computers will eventually take over the jobs of lawyers.

The judicial system is full of human error, guilty go free and innocent get locked up. Currently, they try to fit as many people as they can in the courtroom in a given period of time so say 20 people an hour, and they make a lot of mistakes.

Computers would give defendants more time to explain themselves, and guilty would have less loopholes to jump through.

I would think if humanity lives long enough they'll start merging with machines.

Machines will eventually be in control in one way or another.

It only makes sense.

i think thats the direction in which we are directly headed. we will come to the conclusion we can't agree as a country as we are so divided(see current times and current societal climate) and we will begin to look for a new way to make decisions and I think we will settle on AI to do it...only it will backfire terribly on us

As a litigator who operates in the gray area almost exclusively, I disagree. There are so many areas of law that are unsettled, and so many analyses that occur in each case are fact intensive. There's no way to properly write a program that would be able to handle all the potential variables.

Yes and really makes no sense for one human (judge/lawyer) to judge/evaluate/dictate another human's life, leave it to the police and prison or maybe machines in the future.

We are divided now, we will be more divided in the future that's because of the advanced technology era which has led to extreme materialism. We will need machines and AI to control and dictate everything in the future anyways, it might backfire on us, but real humans are going to war all the time anyways.

If we had genuine AI, meaning they have their own personality and intelligence WITHOUT PROGRAMMING, that might be a great idea. We need "people" who are intelligent but aren't caught up in petty sociopathic, meaning sick for society, things like greed, getting your dick sucked, fancy clothes, etc. That would be an angelic type of person and an AI, especially a bunch of them, could be like angelic beings.

However, we are nowhere near having artificial brains that can learn and develop like that.

Having things that are programmed by humans would be a disaster.

Could be a combination of both, angelic type of person and a living greed (doesn't mean that's a criminal).

Humans don't need to necessarily programme machines, computers or space can generate machines by automatic/artificial events, just like universe generated humans and animals. It's called Artificial Intelligence for a reason.

Thousands of lawyers and programmers could spend years developing it. Think of this, judges can be affected by fatigue, if they’re hungry for lunch or want to go home near the end of their work day, they are bound to make mistakes. Computers wouldn’t make those kinds of mistakes.

A police officer can be testifying and he could be a crooked cop, but a judge wouldn’t be aware because she has seen him before and in her “gut” she trusts him; a computer doesn’t show bias.

was talking to my lil bro tonight. he made a good point.. alll this increased minimum wage stuff has incentivized that

here in florida minimum wage was 8.25.. which i agree should be raised. BUT they're almost doubling it to 15 in 5 years. so.. if minimum wage doubles.. does everything double?

then there was an article about how dems winning the senate could make it so it's 15 dollar minimum federal wage

employers will be looking for solutions

Minimum wage doubles, that means expenses also double. People get to eat better food, drink better alcohol, have better cars, clothes and homes, have sexxxxx in a more luxurious environment....same story goes on and on, the human flesh and grave is the same.

yes i can also see bots determining the outcomes of court cases too buy plugging in data of evidence into an algorithms, it will remove the human element of inconsistency and will make a much more fair result

What you wrote makes no sense.

A computer as we know them now can only be programmed, so it's not capable of learning new things or making up ideas. The only way to make artificial intelligence is to make a brain like machine.

Anyway, if there was a true AI I don't believe it would view humans negatively. A being like would need nothing like a human needs, except safety maybe. So, it would be like me vs a seal. We don't have any conflicting interests.

I don't need anything seals need and I see them as "okay" but I'm not getting involved with them. I think it's possible that AI might not be interested in helping out much.

That's not how court cases work though.

A judge, literally judges.

They will take factors like how much a person meant it and all kinds of things into account. That's why some criminals get tiny sentences for a serious sounding crime and others do not.

Again, we would need an actual intelligence to judge things.

It's why we will never have autonomous cars that really work.

I think that would only happen if it was a false AI and human programmed.

Humans don't like each other because they want the same things.

I think squirrels because they are cute and they can live and do what they want around me. They don't seem to want to hurt me, they interact with me nicely, or run away, they live in trees, and I don't want to, and they don't want my food or women, so they do what they want all around me, and I'm fine.

I don't believe that an AI would want anything humans have, so we would likely be like squirrels are to me.

The biggest issue would be personal security, if the AI was motivated to live.
