I worked a staff accountant job right after college.... Which basically meant i was a personal assistant and errand boy for my boss who was the accounting manager....
There's no shame in being someone's errand boy when you're a young guy starting out...

I've done that sort of thing. Not a guy, but bumping your thread.
Would do, but preferably only for a single guy. As in wealthy bachelor type who doesn't want to marry, but might want someone to do wife-type tasks.
When I did this previously it was for a female executive who was married and the one time I got sideways of her it was due to her spouse.
They were away/traveling and I was working on what they wanted done getting their house prepared for a party they were holding on their return. Couldn't contact her. Got a hold of him and asked what they wanted done on something. Did what he said.
After they returned she was mad as hell because it wasn't what she wanted. I initially replied that I had done X because her spouse said to, but even though I had the email I dropped it. No win situation if her spouse wasn't going to admit it I would just gain an enemy.
I don't know if it is sweet or sad how naive some miscers seem to be about how many people work.

At a certain age it may be demeaning but if we're talking about a young man (18-23) being the personal assistant for a older gentleman I don't see the shame in that.

If they pay enough? Sure, who gives a fuk. It's all wage slaving in the end.

Only to very successful people - you get an insight on how they operate, how they interact and how they move. I've learned more just being in meetings with big dik swinging folks than anywhere else.
Imagine what you can learn if you see the whole picture. I'd do it for free for a year if it meant being a personal assistant to someone who is a heavy hitter

So, yes, I would make travel arrangements for her business trips and prepare materials. She had to socialize with a lot of people at big conferences and we (she had more than one assistant) would put together a binder w/faces, names & personal details for her to study. It was my first admin job and I was the Junior so I had to get everyone's orders/fetch lunch most days. And I was also her personal assistant doing things like:
- returning purchases to stores
- taking her car for service
- meeting service providers at her house so that work could be done
- completing her expense reports
- taking her mother to doctor's appointments
- wrapping gifts
- cleaned out her refrigerator...for real
Your job is whatever needs to be done because their time is too valuable to spend on regular life BS.
