Bichon frise. Don’t moult, happy little kunts. Great dogs. Just train it not to bark.

Lhasa apso is also another that doesn’t moult and is small.

would love to since dogs are expensive af but literally every dog I've seen on the shelter has health or behaviour problems. I don't think it'll be good for a first time owner.

My suggestion:


Stocky, robust little dogs standing 12 to 14 inches, Miniature Schnauzers were bred down from their larger cousins, Standard Schnauzers. The bushy beard and eyebrows give Minis a charming, human-like expression. The hard, wiry coat comes in three color patterns: salt and pepper, black and silver, and solid black. Created to be all-around farm dogs and ratters, they are tough, muscular, and fearless without being aggressive.

The Miniature Schnauzer is a bright, friendly, trainable companion, small enough to adapt to apartment life but tireless enough to patrol acres of farmland. They get along well with other animals and kids. Minis are sturdy little guys and enjoy vigorous play. Home and family oriented, they make great watchdogs.

I have a brindle cane corso, still kind of a puppy. People stop me and ask about her and compliment her all the time. though I think she would have a hard time without a yard.

mastiff type breeds are a bad idea for the first time dog owner
they need a firm and tough hand to train them otherwise when they're 120 + pounds they will try to show you who's boss

can vouch for them being chick magnets though. ladies love my big guy. 16 months old and 140 pounds of beast

Not first time dog owner, not in an apartment, and too much energy. Shedding, lol, pepper your angus but it's probably covered in hair. GSD's are GOAT but not for OP's needs. I have a GSD puppy, cute AF, she's amazing, but she's a handful. Currently hospitalized because she hit her eye being a savage and has an ulcer in her eye. Miss her bad. Going to go get her tomorrow.

Not all rescue dogs have issues. A lot spent most of their lives in a home and had to be given up for all different reasons that had nothing to do with their behavior. The problem with getting a puppy is you don't know what you're going to get. Some never settle down and become low energy which you will need if you live in an apartment. I adopted my dog (lab/pit mix) when he was a year and 1/2. I knew exactly what I was getting. He's perfect for condo living. Very low energy couch potato. He gets walked in morning and night and taken out for a quick pee around dinner time. He only needs a little bit of play and he's happy.

Not really sure of dogs that don't shed except for poodles and labradoodles.

I'm open to adopting but am under the impression that a reputable breeder can pretty much guarantee a dog that comes from a strong gene pool. I would hate to get attached to my dog only to incur big vet bills or put it down. And dogs with smaller coats like boston terriers and french bulldogs tend to shed very little.

That guy in the video is a retard, even with a dual collar dogtra you can't safely watch and control more than 2 off leash dogs no matter how well trained they are
