Lol at New Mexico - COVID lockdown super tight

Live in TX, spent a week in FL, and now spending a night in NM. The whole city is dead - nothing but grocery stores and fast food drive thrus are open. They are all trying to outdo themselves with who has the biggest “wear a mask” sign. The lady at my hotel was putting hand sanatizer on every minute or so while helping me. Ppl so scared here. Kind of hard not to laugh, but also sad because these ppl only get one life and they are taking a chit all over it.

Albuquerque actually seems like a town that would be cool, but there is currently nothing to do here as ppl are scared chitless.

I hope any misc brahs in NM or any other state that is locked down start making their way down to FL — this is not a way to live a life.

NM is possibly the worst state in the entire USA srs

The poverty of southern AZ combined with the crime of the Texas border.

Last in the country in K-12 education

Full of "speed corridors" where rural cops can r*pe out-of-staters with massive tickets

Ugly red-brown landscape with 0 vegetation or wildlife

There are pockets of decency like Santa Fe but the majority of the state is a third world country.

They're so proud too.
NM is low key the soy state.

Also by far ~THE WORST~ state to drive though while going cross country.

At least you can buy some nasty fireworks in NM. Only saving grace.. They're conveniently located near the AZ/NM border.

In Santa Fe and can confirm. It’s absurd.

When family from out of state complain about covid it’s like bish you have zero fukking idea.

For awhile the super Walmart, grocery stores, and the only target were shutdown on the south half of town, meaning people were literally grocery shopping at the gas station and Walgreens, srs.

The governor wanted to be Director of Health and Human services or something under Joe Biden so they intentionally were putting in the most draconian measures to be a “world leader” and get national attention.

People committing suicide like crazy, kids are actually fukking dying because they’re in a life threatening state but not forced to go to school so teachers can pick up on it or send child protective services out.

Something like over half of k-12 students in the state are failing 2 or more classes. 1/3 of the state doesn’t have reliable internet access. Complete cluster fuk.

And people on the reservations are dying at an absurd rate to die healthcare access and diabetes/obesity/heart disease pre-existing conditions.

Also a fuk ton of our industry is based on tourism and oil and gas, oil industry is getting dikked.

It’s chitty but as someone with a 6 figure income, job security, and someone who enjoys being alone and has a few automatic booty calls and a puppy to keep me busy, I’m doing just great while the world around me burns.

I would of thought that chithole state would be completely open by now. Makes no sense a state with that much open space and little population to be locked down
