Is playing by the rules in the West stupid?

Have been teleworking for the last year while some coworkers are being paid to do nothing because they’re ‘mentally distressed’ due to COVID.

Am I an idiot for not also feigning illness?

Bruh, people who are 'mentally distressed' by covid are the chaf of society. They still have rights and feelings, and unfortunately social media is there so everyone can know about their rights and feelings.

But these people are disposable. They are weak. Both physically and mentally. They might survive until old age all the same. But when they get there, they will be empty and sad.

Don't worry about the fools who take the path of least resistance. Their existence is meaningless.

Accomplishment and virtue require sacrifice. Meaning is derived from the pain we tolerate, not the pain we avoid. Don't be a pussy.

Mostly yes. Faking being "exposed" isn't going to be remembered, especially with so many doing it. If this isn't a job you see yourself doing 2 years from now or trying to work your way up through, go ahead and fake the funk.
