I work in a care home for young offenders for 24 hours (hence why you see me on here so often.)

Anyways, we had a new kid coming from prison after beating an attempted murder charge. Before he arrived, the manager told me over the phone that the kids father has asked if there are any gang afilliated kids in the building and that he has been reassured that there aren't. Although I did not mention it, I know for a fact that there is one kid in the building from a certain notorious gang from that same part of London the new kid is from. However, I did not say anything as I may have been wrong and dont want any kids to get in to trouble.

The new kid arrives with his father but he looks very on edge. I show him around the home and he asks me several times how many kids there are in the building. After sensing the nerves of the kid, I asked his father if I could speak to him privately.

I sat the father down and asked him what the issue is. He told me that there were several kids that were found guilty of the attempted murder and his son wasnt one of them. Of course in the streets, if your boys go down and you dont, you are a snitch. For this reason, the father said he and his son are worried that there may be a gang member in the building but they have been reassured by the manager that there is nothing to worry about.

I asked the father to name the gangs his son is worried about, so he left to go ask him. He mentioned a few and BOOM the gut feeling I had was affirmed.

One of the kids in the building is infact part of the gang the new kid is fleeing from. I told the father that he best get his kid and leave the home. I asked him to promise me that he wont tell managment that I told him. He promised and man hugged me for potentially saving his sons life.

Off they went.

Tl;DR

-OP asks him to name the gang that he is fleeing from.
-Kid on top floor is affiliated with said gang and OP tells father and son to make u turn and GTFO.
- Father man hugs OP and son looks like hes seen a ghost
