Have to agree mostly. Those sports are GOAT in terms of destination, class, sloots, etc. you can do them when you’re in your 60s+, have the hottest girls, no riff raff trash
That said I think gold is mostly for dad bod dorks. Good if you need it to network and I love a good golf scramble with the boys, but I have buddies that golf every other day and think it’s a giant waste of time. At least lifting and gym have health benefits

Also a bit different but sand volleyball is my GOAT sport
Brb babes
BRB manlets blown the **** out
BRB social sport. Can play and make friends easily
BRB intense enough where you get a good work out in (unlike golf), but casual enough you can crush some beers during it (unlike tennis)
Only pitfall of vball is can’t play it everywhere and if you have a scrub or two on your team it all falls apart

Volleyball is also pretty solid, true.

Snowboarding I've tried twice and just fall on my ass constantly whenever I try to turn to the left. Consensus seems to be that skiing is easy to be mediocre at but getting good is difficult, whereas snowboarding is challenging to start off but once you get over the initial hurdle it's easier. I always tell beginners who go with me that they should ski but some people think snowboarding looks cooler/more fun, whatever.

Any of you guys do Ellicottville?
I have a few buddies who went and apparently it’s a blast and a really cool spot. Like just an old school ski town without all the commercialism you’d find in Whistler, aspen etc
I’m doing Banff personally in the next month or so

I did it, went skiing with friends who all went 4 or 5 times a year, there was nothing enjoyable about fearing for my life as I edge down a slope nigh on paralysed with fear and regret, whilst my friends positioned themselves at intervals to help me if I slipped.
I did slip and went cascading off a 100ft drop, snapping my skis on landing. You can't grasp how steep it is, until you've no choice but to go down.
EDIT:

Only thing golf is good for is getting yucky with the boys and networking. It seems to have really fallen out with the WASP girl crowd and if thats what you want ski & tennis mog golf all day.
You left out rock climbing, costs $$ for equipment so you either get waspy daughters or granola chicks that either have money or more down to earth ones who live the minimalist live/or are just good at budgeting.

And nothing compared to the sense of impending doom like I did when I turned around and realised there was no other way down.
With those other events, it was **** scary, but you only needed to 5 seconds of luck, and you were safe. This is a 5 minute, 45% slope, and there's no way out than down.
That was 6 years ago, and I remember, clear as day the fear I had approaching the ridge and yet nothing continued to not appear over the edge, it just continued to fall away. I've danced with death a lot, but that was the only time I thought my odds of dying were approaching surviving.
I had my goggles on my forehead when I slipped and my skis were kicking the snow into my eyes so I was blinded, flipped my goggles down and just saw the route dissapear around right bend, with no walls away to the cliff, rolled onto my stomach and dug my hands into the snow hard as I ****ing could, no ****ing hope, must've been going 20-30mph, knew I was going off, true terror.

Do any of you guys shred park?
Nothing like flying off a table top and tweaking an Indy grab and landing smoothly with a causal 180 to ride switch down the rest of the hill. Steezy as fukkk.

I miss skiing. I don't miss where I went skiing though. Clotheslined by tree branches. Going off dropoffs. The memories.
