- ask him if things are good in Liverpool (he has scouser accent)

- taken aback by the fact I recognised this - but I have been here for 4 years and dated a Liverpool girl

- asks me where I work etc - software in the financial services

- he tells me about how he thinks natives are ****ed over, how he has suffered through unemployment, other people taking jobs

- says he never wanted to go to uni (when it was free during his time btw) because he doesn't like desk jobs

- told him the Police are recruiting as every police car begs for applicants

- tells me "Well, so it can be observed" (trying to sound posh?), "But would you work that?"

- tell him that if my field had unemployment I would defo apply as I have a Comp Sci degree and the Detective route - lots of grooming gangs distribute child pornography (and other cybercrime) etc

- Muttered out something too scouse and I received a call from mother so I turned around


British folk are usually really nice, both to working immis (and **** immis unfortunately), but I can only imagine how this guy is on a table

It seems to be the losers who complain that immigrants are "taking their jobs". Those same people often think that cleaning toilets or delivering fast food is below them, or want more money for doing it.

Most Brits are decent enough. Not what we were, but better than many.

I am not sure how even a police officer/detective can below them, good benefits, can progress, no guns in the UK, Detective cybercrime unit can be intellectually stimulating

also no EU/Foreigner can apply unless he has a few years permanent residence here
