I just preordered a samsung galaxy s21 ultra for my dad through samsung.com. It's the flagship samsung galaxy phone, $1200, that everyone is saying is the best phone ever to come out. Here's the price breakdown:

$1200

-$550 for galaxy s10e trade in (I remember we bought this chit for $350 straight up from best buy less than 2 years ago)
-$100 instant savings from samsung
$200 credit on any samsung accessory + $50 coupon towards accessories
10% rebate with Rakuten, which will come back as $55

So the s21 ultra, a $90 case with a S-pen, and Galaxy buds pro for a grand total of $550. WTF?

It's not being cucked by a brand image. You can get phones even cheaper if you don't need the absolute newest one or willing to switch brands.

I was in best buy today to get a laptop charger and saw 40 fuking dollars for a Lightning charger cord from Apple. What the actual fuk?

The apple wall plug was like 35 bucks. Their chitty pod headphones are like 550 bucks now
