Because NOONE watches it. I won't even watch that video. Basketball in general is hard to watch. Let alone women's basketball. I see NOTHING wrong with getting the wages that your sport brings in. You cannot tell me the WNBA brings in the same revenue that the NBA does. Other women sports have similar issues too. Its not a "wage gap" so much as the money just isn't there.

The NBA subsidizes them because they lose money every year.

You can't even give away these tickets for free sometimes.

A top tier team of 14 year olds could wreck them. That's how bad it is.

They don't understand supply and demand due to feelings. It's clearly a sexist issue.

I can understand in like an office setting or something. I am all for fair wages, but you are right. Its like they don't grasp the concept.

But you can't come at them with that because of PC culture. Its not like we WANT the WNBA to fail. Its not like we DONT WANT them making money. I feel like that is something they also don't understand.

If they share the arena, I am cool with them splitting concession sales and all of that amongst the teams that take residency there. But merchandise, ticket sales and tv deals/ads per sport should all be isolated to that specific sport. Even though I think NBA and pro athletes are overpaid as is, its not right to have to split revenue amongst the teams.

Maybe if WOMEN actually wanted to go to the games, ticket sales would be sufficient to pay the players more $$$.

As it stands, this isn't happening. Not even close.

Women are 50% of the population, and make a good living in 1st world countries.

So what's the problem?

whether its good or bad is irrelevant, their craft must generate revenue and that must be the foundation of their higher wages request.
People must understand that it is about contribution rather than gender - women in fashion in porn make more because they bring more to the table and in most sports that happens to apply for men.
