Do you actually like the job you work?
The other thread asking what you do and what you make it seems like a lot of miscers are raking in the cash. Or allegedly. So going on with that do you actually like your job and why?
I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time; never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people. Thank you.

I work on a farm. Sometimes it's awesome and sometimes it sucks. But I like being there most of the time.
I have always wanted to become a tampon. My dream is to be inserted into a woman's chamber of love and absorb her lady juices.

I like it 90% of the time. It’s my fourth career-type job I’ve had and it’s by far the most rewarding. Difficult work but not impossible. Plenty of opportunities to grow. Pay is less than my last job but it’s still good pay with a much better work-life balance. Small office and I like all my coworkers.

Most days I'm good with it. The rough days I think about how much easier it is to work for someone else and give less fuarks.
I believe in what I do. I sincerely like (most) my clients. I have a knack for hiring & employing single moms. I like my employees.
So basically... I like what I do bc I'm delusional and think it makes a difference & it provides me an ego boost. lmao.

Sometimes yes.
When I see two parents getting divorced and thinking of the welfare of the child
Or when a parent (more often than not the father) has custody changed to joint from visitation
Another nice perk is I don’t have a boss down side I have to be a boss sometimes and it sucks to fire people
I like working with the family support council and helping on domestic violence and child abuse cases, I feel like I have purpose
What I don’t like is people lie a lot and even to me as their attorney and people get so spiteful they forget about the welfare of their children and or just throw money and want to screw there ex over and scream at me for advising them against alienating the other parent

Most of the time. Its can be super busy at times and I have to field and deal with multiple clients throughout the day and things can blur a little. The job isn't the issue so much as the clients lie and they think they are the only one who you are working with. They also wait until the very last minute to get things taken care of for court and then they expect me to be able to solve their issue RIGHT then when they have had months if not years to get everything resolved.
Generally it is enjoyable and I feel like I am making a difference. So in that regard its intrinsically rewarding and I enjoy it.
My gym happens to be 5 min away too, so I can pop over right after work and I dont have a long drive to talk myself out of it lol

soft eng. i'm very introverted (not shy or awkward) and was already into programming before college, so it's a good fit personality wise. i also think it's the best in terms of "pay to BS ratio", at least working at big companies. high pay, high demand (once you have experience), good perks (free food, generous benefits and amenities), no dress code, relatively meritocratic, transferrable skills to build my own company/site/app. flexible WFH so I can work on my own projects on company time etc. I've been lucky to always have competent and friendly/helpful managers/teammates who pull their weight too so that helps. Of course there's BS like with any job but overall it's great and I think it's the best job for me.

Like the job, don’t like the pay. Only reason I’ve been here as long as I have was to show reliable work experience in a professional environment after a few years fukking around. Will leave once i find something better

Pastry shop, the pay is good but I dont see my future there long term. Im learning two foreign languages so I'll try in the future something else to do where I can use my skills to use. I was thinking tourism and if that doesnt work out maybe fitness career training professional foreign athletes (some football club abroad)

Yes. I make 6 figs now and my words hold the most weight under my boss. I threatened to leave if I didn't get a 4 day schedule and got a "yes" the same day while wearing sweatpants/hoodie. Basically I'll never lose this job and my salary will only go up. Contract was just renewed for many years to come. Workload is pretty high but easy at this point and 3 day weekends every week makes it easy to deal with. Don't plan on leaving ever but don't tell anyone I said that heh. 10 min drive to the office isn't too bad either.

Union construction, most the time I do like it. It can be tough work but I get compensated well for it. Workin in the weather occasionally sucks
Excellent pay
Free benefits
Pension
Vacation checks
Company phone/ gas card/ credit card/laptop/work truck
Being able to talk as much chit as I want
Etc
I've been off for a bit due to the county/state basically keeping construction to a minimum which is whatever

It affords me resources to pursue my real interests and passions. None if it aligns with my actual values, but one stress dream a night is a small price to pay for financial stability.

Cattle ranch, gravel pit, trucking, dirt work, grocery store, and independent economic development consulting, literally love all of them, wouldn’t trade lives with anybody. Also own 9 ATM’s but that doesn’t really count as a job.
