Just a couple of observations from a movie buff.

All I do is watch movies and tv. But anyway, stop saying the title of the movie in the movie. It immediately takes your movie down a notch, and is annoying. Stop killing dogs in the movie, every time I see a dog I think "that dog's gonna die." It's become a trend. It's used for shock factor, but is just irritating at this point. And if you go to watch a movie, and it's runtime is 1 hour and 30 minutes, it probably sucks, that means they could barely get enough to make it a movie.
Bodybuilding is a lifetime journey, anytime spent not bulking or cutting is a waste of time.

I enjoyed the movie, it was well worth the time, and the acting was great. But to be completely honest, I would've preferred a much darker more bleak movie if you're tackling the Tate-LaBianca murders, similar to the movie "Zodiac". But I also understand that this movie was a period piece, so I wasn't exactly the target audience, I think this movie was for people who lived that time period, and I think Tarantino hit it out of the park as far as that's concerned.

Generally true points, but there are many exceptions.

1. The Matrix. They say that title tonnes of times in the movie. Never detracted from it for me. But yeah, if it's meant to be a defining point in the movie and they make a big deal about the line, it can totally snap you out of it.

2. Lots of great comedies and horror movies are close to 1.5 hrs runtime. Shaun of the Dead, What We Do in the Shadows, The Evil Dead, Fargo, the list goes on. Lots of awful movies are trying to push 2.5+ hours these days and it can be an absolute chore sitting through boring af scenes that never should have made the cut.

3. The thing about dogs is 100% true. These days if there's a dog that doesn't die they're really going against the grain.

It was not good and had very little redeeming qualities. I think of most Tarantino movies almost like the show Seinfeld. There's a plot there, but it's very character driven and you're mostly focused on the how the characters act and converse in these situations. The movie has zero replay value. No intelligent dialogue. Brad and Leo are essentially not even in the movie together. They will at times briefly meet up, but Brad will have no dialogue, and Leo will just cry about something, then they are off on their own again. And the end was just try-hard, shock humor that was just a bastardization of Inglourious Basterds.

Tarantino would have been better off making a walking simulation through his old Hollywood sets than this pointless film.

Years ago I became so sick of chit tv shows and movies that I stopped paying attention altogether. I am sure I've missed out on some outstanding movies in that time.

I was kind of bored by Dunkirk, I remember liking The Witch, but it's been a while since I saw it. Mad Max is pure unadulterated action, so if that's your thing, than yes.
