Reminds me of the movie I am Legend.
The first few minutes in the movie when they talked about being able to cure Cancer to 90% of the cases..then we know what happens to the rest of the movie lol.

Its going to take a while to tackle all the cancers, because cancer is just a catch all for all sorts of cell mutations gone wild. The OP is about 1 variety. A big win, but much work is to be done. There was a study recently that showed at least 1 "driver" mutation is needed for cancer to happen, and the avg tumor has 4-5. Its going to be like whack-a-mole to get them but they are making incredible progress. Its just a huge challenge.

“We now know of hundreds of genes, that when mutated, drive cancer. This research shows that across cancer types a relatively consistent small number of such mutated genes is required to convert a single normal cell into a cancer cell, but that the specific genes chosen differ according to cancer type. The study also shows that we have not yet identified many of these driver genes and they will be the target for further searching in the future. This increasingly precise understanding of the underlying changes that result in cancer provides the foundation for the discovery and use of targeted therapies that treat the disease.”
“In the study, we revealed that around half of these key mutations driving cancer occur in genes that are not yet identified as cancer genes.

I was reading that the drug was made by Amgen and looking at their stocks, they're in bad shape, facing layoffs, and job cuts. Maybe this might save them.

You guys are missing the point. It’s the timing of this “cure” that is extremely shady suspicious. Now that there is record breaking penumonia AND lung cancer from wearing a certain new “fashion facial object” they announce this magic pill... from a company that is almost going under, just like moderna in 2019.
I’m not Sherlock but something tell me they are getting rdy for a certain mass demand for this cure that may or may not even work.

I remember last march their stock was at 180 dollars, some one I worked with tipped me on that company and told me they'd blow up.. I think they went up to 280 or something but now it's been dipping.
