Do tradies have any sense of self worth?

they dress like ****. fuking dirty work boots with dirt all over them. they should have some respect and polish them every night to look professional. baggy ass jeans and some ragged sweater with their dumb hard hat on backwards

they eat like ****. monsters and cigarettes are their breakfast. slice of pizza and a can of coke for lunch. plate of can made spaghettie and a case of beer for dinner. multiple packs of smokes on their work breaks with more monsters.

they spit and cuss all day.

srs do they have any self worth?

I know this is a troll thread, but if you'd ever worked manual labour in your life you may have found great satisfaction in completing a job with your hands. Looking at the result of skillful work even as the lowest grunt can make you feel accomplished. Probably some endorphins in there if you're actually working hard, too.

I've rented furnished houses to about 1800 tradies over the years. They are all hard working. They won't take a job if it's less than 60 hours a week. Most of them drive $50,000 trucks. There are always a few bad apples in every bunch. Most use tobacco and drink like a fish, but they pay good rent on time.

Maybe, but at the end of the day it's still possible to attribute completion of a project to yourself even if you sat around watching everyone else do the work.

Eh, I get that satisfaction working around my house (building a cabinet/shelving) or making progress in the gym.
