It's decent. I don't like being tracked and my data being sold.

However Google has way better quality when I'm searching for something obscure.

This, will sometimes use google when searching for a particular thing. Overall DuckDuckGo is the way to go IMHO.

Almost exclusively but sometimes you gotta try both if the duck doesn’t deliver. The duck is more like google was in the mid 2000s

Will give it a fews weeks and see how it goes. Google now spams me the same leftist news sites and now in some searches will just show some random non relevant chit.
I want to like DDG but it has to get the job done. Also do you guys know how they rank their pages? Is it basically the same google SEO stuff?

DuckDuckGo crew. It is nice to be able to search the web the way it was intended, not the way Google wants. And they won't sell my data.

Except for maps. I still go to Google for maps.

It's good enough for 80% of your casual searches and content that google censors. Google is better for deeper harder to find noncensored content.

When I try to google something and google punches me in the face with never ending CNN links I switch over to DuckDuckGo to find what I actually searched for.

Google is great for stuff they don't care about your reading/watching. You really only need DuckDuckGo for stuff Google directly tries to influence.

Yup, Duck is basically Google back when they were the hip cool Yahoo alternative.
