Favorite General of world war 2? Ike?,patton? Or

Mcarthur?

I always have had a personal like for mcarthur. Ike who was once his assistant i felt was jealous. He made. A comment one time that the only thing he learned under Mcarthur was "theatrics"

What say you?

Not a General, but Admiral Raymond Spruance. Won the Battle of Midway and then kept a cool enough head to not chase after the crippled jap fleet and get ambushed.

For Generals, I guess Eisenhower.

Guderian and rommell were both excllent generals/field marshalls and nithet were nazis.

I dont know why so many people confuse the german army for the poltical party that controlled them

With that said id take ike mcarthur and patton over any field marshall or British general.

The russians had a handful too but thier names escape. Stalljn had most of them murdered when he came to power.

All planes were lost. He had to bail out over China and evade capture by the Japanese. He won the Medal of Honor for it.

Yeah and tjat whole mission had no military targets and did not affect the japense army in any way. It was done as a moral booster for the civilians at home and the troops..
