Remember Blimpie and Quiznos?

Blimpie and Quiznos were probably my two favorite chit fast food places to get a sangwich. blimpie grilled sangwiches were GOAT 100%. quiznos was good but not at blimpie level.

are they around anymore? i remember there being a blimpie 5-10 years ago but its gone now. there's a jersey mike's not too far away. lots of Lenwich(i think that's only an NY thing) and the subway presence is still relatively strong.


i dunno if arby's is part of thins conversation, but we do have at least one of those in town.


fuk i remember when blimpie was the official sangwich of madison square garden in the 90s.

All I remember about Quiznos were those commercials in the early-mid 2000s. I never got to eat there, as they seemed to disappear around 2010.

cot damn i loved quiznos. i only had blimpies once in the early 90s and i remember it being poverty compared to subway. but tbh i think subway made better subs back then than now

Quiznos was bomb back in the day .But a medium/ large sandwich was like $10-12 back in early 2000s. They actually used good ingredients and made huge sandwiches.


I’m pretty sure what happened was subway came out with their $5 foot long promotion and wiped Quiznos out.

They tried to compete by making the sandwiches way smaller and cheaper, but they could never lower those ingredients to **** tier quality of subway. Subway is hands down the lowest of the low in the sandwich game.



Long story short, the $5 foot long put them to bed

Yah, I remember.

They were/are both better than subway.

The problem with fukin Arby’s is that their sandwiches are small af. When I was a teen, their giant roast beef was a fukin beast man.

Spicy/bmt Italian crew checkin in. Man I miss Quiznos sometimes.

If subway didn’t do the 5$ subs they would still be here imo. They **** all over subway and jersey mikes.

Yeah been a while. There’s still a schlotzskys around here, but I think it only hangs on because half of it is a Cinnabon. Firehouse subs was the last “it” sub chain around here, but all but one location has closed and I never see them advertised anymore.

Quiznos is dying fast. We used to have 3 now down to 1 and that one probably won't be around much longer.

There is only one Blimpie I know of in LA area.

Loved Quiznos as a kid. I remember the first time I ate a toasted sub from there. Turkey bacon and cheddar hnnnng.

Then a few years ago I grabbed a Quiznos sub from a gas station on the way to Pittsburgh and it tasted like dog chit. No wonder they’ve effectively gone out of business. Was my childhood a lie?

I knew a couple that owned a Quiznos. Something happened I forget (maybe a bankruptcy you’ll ave to google it). But they said corporate support became like non existent.

Have 2 Arby’s by me and they both still have huge sandwiches. I don’t like them anymore though because about 15 yrs ago they changed their roast beef. It used to be really good then they went to a cheaper version causing it to not really even have a taste imo.

Blimpie had much better tuna than subway, but it still wasn’t nearly as good as most mom & pop Italian delis.
