2 yrs later this is still the heaviest breakdown I've ever heard

****ing biiiitch: check
Blegh: check
Arf Arf: check

Absolutely crushing from 1:33 onward.

Band broke up because apparently the lead singer is a legit scumbag too.

Which new direction is that brah? I think musically it's in a very awesome spot - melodic/virtuoso playing is it an all time high level of talent, everywhere from AAL and Periphery to young guys like Polyphia taking things in a crazy new direction.

Production value is insane and a kid with a $1000 laptop can make stuff that sounds light years better (audio quality) than anything that came out from a major label in the 90s.

I'm also a fan in small doses of the ridiculously heavy retardcore that I posted in the OP - I love bands like Acacia Strain when I'm working out. The dudes in Infant Annihilator are some of the most talented players I've ever heard but they have a side project (Black Tongue I think?) that's just karate warrior backflip pit fuel. I heard an interview with Andy from Every Time I Die who said he loved when they get to something like The New Black in their setlist because he can take a break and just run around the stage having fun and hyping up the crowd.

The worst part of metal has always been the metalheads, don't see that changing any time soon tbh.

Damn, that was sick. Singer looks like a scumbag too. I thought that was Rob Thomas before he started arfing.

Edit: 1m+ views on youtube, 3.7m hits on Spotify and they break up? LOL.

the breakdown in Slayer - Pride in prejudice is one of the best. Happens towards end of song, they run the riff twice. So simple yet amazing and easy to learn/play.
