EPA in fish/flax oil may be anti cancer (2018 study)
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is required for biological processes, but humans are unable to synthesize them and must be obtained from dietary sources. EPA has been used as an antitumor agent but the molecular mechanisms for the regulation of tumor microenvironment immunity by EPA are still unknown. The results demonstrated that EPA can activate host antitumor immunity by inhibiting tumor IDO expression. Therefore, our finding suggests that EPA can be enormous potential for cancer immunotherapy.

Looks like EPA is important to the body. Time to give fish and flaxseed pills a 2nd chance

This study says "N-3 PUFA treatment blunts the activation of EGFR, Erk1/2, AKT signaling by E2 stimulation" which indicates that EPA/DHA blocks some of the harmful effects of estrogen

That EGF-receptor + ERK1/2 is also the same pathway that DHT creates strength from (aka mapk pathway). The ERK pathway allows cells to overcome stress/oxidation and other hazards to continue survival. Good sometimes for building muscles, but bad for health/cancer/lifespan. DHT and the ERK/mapk pathway are not surprisingly implicated in cancer
ERK/MAPK pathway implicated in 1/3rd of all cancershttps://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22569528/
