Survey of 1000 Women on Male Muscularity

I cannot post links but the survey can be found at fitness volt dot com right on the splash page.

Fitness Volt surveyed just over 1000 women using a computer generated male body ranging in muscularity and asked a series of questions to check their preferences. Now we do know women tend to lie a lot on surveys (or simply don't even know what they want) as shown in studies where they are given surveys but then forced to make real time choices where it turns out the results don't line up with stated preferences. The results are interesting nonetheless.

Some key points:

44.3% of women said they preferred men who were considered to be “athletic”
35.1% of women said they preferred men who were considered to be “lean”
16.4% of women said they preferred men who were considered to be “built”
4.2% of women said they preferred men who were considered to be “skinny”

It appears that women in the younger age ranges find men in the more muscular categories to be more attractive. But, as the age range increases, women gradually seem to be more attracted to men who are considered lean, but not skinny.

Most women did not find being “too muscular” to be a turn off

There are bigger guys with low bf that don't look like skeletons, but yes muscles can't fix a bad face but this thread is about bodies found attractive and if only more guys worked out that would be greata guy with a great face who also makes his body nice is even better than just the face guy, MF is big and face is hottest here.

A fitness website's poll isn't a good indicator. Any girl taking that poll obviously has a great interest in weight training so they will have a bias towards muscular men.


The biggest slayers I knew were the skinny emo kids in high school. Literally drowning in pussy even if they didn't know what to do with it

I’m sure if this ‘survey’ had pics to go with the bodies there would be bias towards leaner bodies just due to having leaner faces.. can’t be chubby with a rlly good looking face. Anyway that’s all I care to think about it

It would be more the best face and body combo, also who was chubby? The guy I mentioned has no chub, 2nd biggest is Type are you calling him chubby or his face? Lol I could name off a few more but they have never shown face. Not a single one of them has chub and are a good size for their height

Part of the reason I’m not htc is girls with bloated/chubby faces are a turn off to me, can’t be both really good looking facially and not lean as well

"Fitness Volt surveyed just over 1000 women" - Going to guess that there will be at least some bias in the type of woman who took the survey since your audience determines your sample demographics.

For instance if animal did a survey on the same thing, it would likely advertise the survey in the channels it has the most access to, rather than a demographic using the same channels as say Herbalife.
Athletics > Aesthetics
I guess its time to start training again.

The survey defined the categories by providing computer generated body types. This wasn't abstract definitions.

I would hope that a fitness website would survey fitness women but it actually doesn't specify so it's a guess as to whether it was fit chicks or not.
