Is Dudes Wearing Shoe Lifts Actually a Thing?

Dead fkin srs. Is wearing shoe lifts as a guy common nowadays? I've seen this mentioned in a few misc threads, but yesterday was the first time I actually saw it in action. Some dude at my friend's place was caught red-handed wearing lifts when one of our other friends saw his shoes at the door. His justification was that he needed to be 6 feet for the dating apps.

Is this actually life nowadays as a sub-6 foot male? PS: I'm 5'7 and don't wear lifts lmao.

When that mma guy warmonger or whatever beat up the porn chick and fled, Dog the bounty and Leland were @ the border (Mex/TJ) looking for him. Both were tiny IRL, supposedly Dog had 3-5" lifts, they both were 5'7" at best.

So after some research i got these bad boys for all of my shoes:

None of my friends wear lifts. I don't mind wearing boots with thicker heels though, probably add an extra inch over shoes.

Manlets will use anything they can to appear taller from standing on their toes in photos, wearing boots with extra heel, wearing lifts inside boots, wearing orthotics for that little "extra" boost of a cm or two. I don't care about it that much because I'm never gonna think "i need to stand on my tippy toes whenever someone takes a photo" so i just use lifts to even the playing field and neg the manlets. They still get like 2" advantage from their tippy toes anyway so i dunno why you complaining.
It indeed sounds like I am a fking moron for not doing it (dead fking srs). Even though I'm not tall, I'm taller than most girls barefoot, but usually closer to their height when they wear heels. It sounds like if I wore lifts, I'd be able to negate part of the difference and it won't even be completely frauding because I'd still be taller than her barefoot.

Be exactly 6'1.5". Never once insecure about my height. Always wear flats. Suddenly everyone is getting taller. Actually start paying attention to peoples shoes. Notice 6'4+ dudes wearing heals/boots. Many others frauding with weird lifts, even women with sneakers.

I'm about 6'2 and wear basic boots most places. Just because the pair I have are worn in and comfortable af.

But warm weather I wear a nice pair of flat shoes. Funny how sloots all think I am so much taller nowadays because so many guys height fraud and wear 1.5in thick soled shoes at all times. They'll guess I'm like 6'3 but I'm barely 6'2.

I almost don't want to wear boots anymore because of this. All the tradies by me wear boots with like 3in soles. It looks retarded. Over the past couple years frauding and insecurity has exploded to a lot more people when it comes to things like height.
