Some people are irredeemable pieces of human garbage, and when evidence shows that they are 100% guilty beyond the shadow of a doubt (like tht lady who killed that woman and ripped the baby from the dead mother's womb), they're better off dead.

Rehibilitation my ass. Some people are NEVER going to be fixed. Should someone like Ted Bundy been allowed to live the rest of his days in prison? What good would he have been to anyone?

Yes. Things were better when murders were dealt with soon after their crimes. Way better than leaving them in prisons to influence other inmates.

1st issue - require a giant amount of evidence to sentence a person to death(video, audio + confession + eyewitness, or other combination where it is certain)

2nd issue - only reason it costs more is because we let them stay on death row for 20 years and pay lawyer fees to put forth worthless appeals. Give them six months(at most) and one appeal then kill them and see what the costs are

3rd issue - it is not strictly about deterring crime, it’s a punishment for what they’ve done. I believe there are actions that cause a person to lose their right to live.

Perfect example is Dylan Roof. If you walk into a church, are welcomed with open arms, then turn around and murder those same people you should get at most one week to live at that point.

So needless to say, yes I support the death penalty.

Imo the death penalty doesn't make the USA stand out from first world countries as much as the incarceration rate. What possible explanation can there be for the USA to have BY FAR the highest incarceration rate in the world, ahead of 3rd world oppressive dictatorships and crime infested 3rd world ****hole countries?

Doesn't it cost more to kill someone than to imprison them?

I'd believe in the death penalty if it were cheaper.

2nd, the appeals are what make it expensive, along with the cost of keeping them alive. Also the chemicals wasted just to kill them, just give them a sledge hammer or a bullet, much faster and cheaper.

California was given the choice to ban the death penalty and expedite death penalty on the ballot.
They voted to keep the death penalty and expedite it.

Guess what liberals did? They banned the death penalty to spite their voters.

3rd, let a terrorist bomber back on the streets, after liberals have deemed him "reformed" I wonder what could possibly happen....

My only complaint is that it takes too long to happen. If there is indisputable evidence it shouldn’t take long to get it done.

It’s barbaric but the whole US criminal justice system is fukked.

Nah I'm not really for killing people.

Some people are irredeemable, absolutely. Rehabilitation won't work for some, and shouldn't even be a goal for some. Lock em up forever.

But I do believe most can be rehabilitated to some degree, at least in a way that gives them a fukin chance when they come out of prison.

I think our current prison system is fuking awful and just makes most people worse. Locking some ******* up for 10 years in current prisons doesn't DO anything positive for anyone. It just makes people "feel" good that the bad guy got fukt. Imo, treating people like animals is never going to work. And while it's not an excuse, most criminals come from fukt up backgrounds that rekt their lives and made them into what they are.

The fact that people get raped in prison blows my god damned mind. The fact that it's treated as a joke is just as bad. Rape should not be fuking happening in prison.

Our entire prison and law system needs to be reformed hardcore.

The appeals process is the money drain.

It doesn't cost anything to just fill up a toilet, stick the rapists head in it, and flip the electric switch.
