Any bee keepers here? Where can I buy a beehive??

I'm thinking about putting one of those boxes with bees in it on my property line.

Where do I buy bees? Do I just set up one of those boxes and the bees come to the box??

Some farm supply stores sell boxes and queens, around here at least.

Will the bees defend the box if people get too close to it? I'm thinking this could be a good deterrent from my crackhead neighbors and their dogs coming into my yard.
