Can hit 6-8 reps @ 315 for multiple sets
Bodyweight floating around 255 so nothing overly impressive

Nope. I've been lifting 10 years and I capped out at 250 at the very ass end of a cut. Honesty, I never focused on the strength side of things, though. Maybe if I bloatloarded it up and focused chiefly on bench I could get there, but I'm getting old now.
For the boyos that were able to hit the mystical 3 plate bench, did you really have to work at it, or are you naturally strong enough that your once a week, 3-4 sets of hypertrophy bench allowed you to get there?
I once saw a dude with gigantic pecs do 3 plates for reps on the incline. He just seemed to have genetics on his side, though.

once you can hit 350 on decline you should be close to benching 315 on flat
i did 315 on incline once but hurt my shoulder and haven't gone heavy on incline since

I was able to do it for one rep when I was 18 or 19 at a body weight of around 190-195. But currently at 24 I wouldn’t be able to do it, most I can do now would probably be in the ballpark of 250. I haven’t focused on strength in years, mostly do calisthenics and higher rep DB work now.

I could do it for like 3-5 reps in early December @ 200, but we've been locked down since so there's a chance i couldn't even hit it for a single now lol, i've also been lifting for like 8 years, and bench is one of my weaker lifts lol

Yes, but it took a while to get there for reps. You also need to factor in BW too; smaller guys will probably never get there if they want to retain full aesthetics.

Even if it wasnt always flat BB pressing, I would substitute DB presses, floor presses, various different bars and hand positions, pin presses, pause reps to keep the program from getting stagnant

Squats went much better, though. Even during a brutal cut I was able to get myself past 3 plates for close to 10 reps for the first time. All the men in my family have weak pecs. It took me 10 years to build mine to something respectable.

I have done it (when bloatmaxed for powerlifting/strongman) for 15 at most, but I'd be lucky to get it for 6-8 now (i'd rather look strong than be strong now)

yeah, on a good day but that's pretty much my max.

I have benched it, but can not currently.
Sadly, I when I could I weighed less.
But, I'm focusing on bench currently, should be back soon.

I go to a commercial gym that has a more series member base than other ones I’ve gone too. There’s probably 30-40 members I’ve seen do it for at least one rep. We also have a lot of 16-30 year olds that take lifting somewhat seriously.

Yes, best unequipped bench was 4 plates (5 with a slingshot). I have not been going heavy on barbell for the last couple years, just been doing dumbells, heavy barbell was fun, but far from optimal from a pure bodybuilding perspective.

I used to rep it, got up to a 345lb max a few years back. Popped my AC joint benching two years ago, waited a year and a half to get surgery, and my shoulder is still messed up. Navy doctors, not even once.
And relief washes over me in an awesome wave
