do you as a woman also buy your mom+grandma flowers and stuff ? in my culture girls always do it for the older women in the family who they love

i´m ordering a light purple fleece hoodie for mom and will buy sunday her fav flowers, also sent grandma $ to buy herself whatever she likes (i´m very far away from her)

Nah, my mums dead and my nan is... certainly a character. That’s a really sweet gesture though!

I will be raising some money for Fair Play For Women, who this week have been in court challenging the Ministry of Justice in their policy of putting make sex offenders in women's prisons.

They will also be challenging the Office For National Statistics on the 9th in court over their guidance on letting people identify as whatever they want on the sex question in our national census. Usually £1000 fine if you fail to complete or lie on the census (for us ordinary folks only it seems).

Judicial Reviews cost over £70k a pop.... and women have funded dozens in the last year or so.

No better way to celebrate IWD than by helping fund the defence of our sex based rights against mentally unwell and misogynistic men.

I doubt my wife is even aware of that day because we both don't pay attention to nonsense, fabricated 'holidays' such as this. I don't need a woman's day to appreciate the women I love in my life. I do so regularly. My wife is a fantastic person and I make it a point to communicate these things to her regularly.

lol @ believing in biology and science. It's so antiquated and bigoted. Anyone who chooses so can be a woman. In fact, I'm identifying as a woman for 15 minutes on this day to get some free schit then my gender switches back to man when I go up my driveway.

Cut flowers are a worthless gift. My mother loves to garden so I get her potted plants that she can then plant and add to her garden. She also likes other things like doing puzzles so I make it a point to always check for them whenever I'm out at a thrift shop or flea market.

flowers are worthless if what makes someone happy is not interesting for you. buy your mom potted plants and buy your wife what makes her happy instead of that blablabla i I tell her how much she means to me blablabla. you can tell how her much she means to you while you also get her chocolate or flowers or other things. Also, hate to tell you but you should do it regularly, not on a certain celebration. love is also about the actions you do, not only about what you say

I was not aware as well, srs.

Been in LTRs for 7 years of my life, had several long term FWB and several female friendships. I also got a sister, a mother and a ton of other female relatives and not once was international woman's day "seriously" brought up.
