Are b2b sales jobs really the best jobs ever?

Most are making $200k
No experience required
No brain required
No schedule required
Just pop on your headset and wait for people to call
Only actual work is taking clients to brunch

Why do people even do normal jobs? And why didn’t anyone tell me about these jobs 10 years ago?

And why are there so many brainlets making doctor money right now just from a laptop and a headset? Seems fishy

You def need the personality for it or you will suck and get fired.
Also you need to know the products berry well, many is which are complex.. the prospective clients grill you then debrief after. If you sucked then they won't buy . You eventually get fired and end up in the customer service dept.

And no I'm not a sales guy. Have just been pitched a lot.

Yes.

Before i did my first "job" i was a complete autist but b2b sales legit changed everything.

Went from some autist who hated talking to people to signing papers everyday, it's the only job i recommend everyone to do

B2B sales can be good if you're with the right company that has a product everyone wants. Otherwise it's cold calling and trying to set up "meetings" to pitch people, which is a grind. I spent three months of hell in an environmental audit company that had me on the phone six hours a day because nobody at any company cared about what we were selling.

But yes, if you want to get bulletproof at talking to people, it's the best. When I switched to personal training I literally sold everyone because I didn't care about rejection and I knew how to sell really well.

LOL at your expectations of what Sales is like. "Pitching" people are for peasant sales people.
Those widget sales people rarely make $200k unless they are the top of the heap.

I will agree that there are a ton of bad sales people that make $100-120k.

I dunno, some of these jobs are a real grind depending on the company. I used to do a sales job like this where pay was anywhere between $125k and 300k, but the company made sure to structure things where they were getting like 60+ stressful hours per week out of you and quality of life was absolute chit.

To be honest though, although I'm doing really well in a not so stressful area of sales now, I wish I could pop on the headset sometimes and get back into the practice of getting past objections and being a pushier mofo. Having a stable group of wealthy clients is turning me into a bit of a boomer in terms of sales skill.

I would only get into SaaS sales because there I feel like there really can be a value add. Educating the potential client on the product to make an informed decision. For physical products, I feel like a quick google search or a bidding process is more efficient.

I would probably be one of those product demo guys. You know the ones where you hop on a Zoom and they share their screen, showing you all the in and outs of a software and then pitch you at the end. Seems like they actually have a legit purpose.

We've been in business for 6 years and I just happened to purchase something from a cold caller for the first time this week. They actually did have the best deal and even offered me a discount. Good service.

Only significant exceptions to this are if you're a sloot, black, or chad from connecticut whose dad donated a building at his college.
One guy in the construction sales is gonna make $300k this year. Made $280k last year

All he did was take over accounts once another guy quit. Before that he wasn’t making $hit

Regularly brags about not even going to work.

Side story: someone got caught stealing pipe from the company and they didn’t even fire him. He gets paid to practically do nothing.
